As a Songweaver, you gain the following features
Hit Dice: 1d8 per Song Weaver Level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 8 + your Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier per Song Weaver level after 1st
Armor: Light Armor, Medium Armor, Shields
Weapons: Simple Weapons
Tools: None
Saving Throws: Dexterity, Constitution
Skills: Choose two skills from Athletics, Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Arcana, Athletics, History, Nature, Perception, Survival
You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background.
You adopt a particular style of fighting as your specialty. Choose one of the following options. You can't take a Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again.
Your training with weapons allows you to use the mastery properties of two kinds of weapons of your choice with which you have proficiency, such as Quarterstaffs and Javelins.
Your practice of the Songs of War has extended your limit of using them. Starting at level 1, you gain 1 additional use per day of each Category of the Songs of War. You gain additional uses as indicated above in the Songweaving section of the table.
Your practice of the Songs of War has left you with an understanding of pushing past your limits in order to use your Songs. Starting at 2nd level, you can use each Song of War past your limit of each category, however whenever you do so, you gain a stack of “Dissonance.” You also gain a stack when you run out of charges of a category.
Whenever you use a category you’ve expended all uses of, you take 1d8 damage per stack of Dissonance. This damage cannot be reduced in any way.
Beginning at 3rd level, you extend your Song of War knowledge by focusing on a specific Song you wish to attain mastery over.
Song of War Specialty
Specialty
Aggressium Specialty
Mobilium Specialty
Protisium Specialty
Supporium Specialty
When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
Alternatively, you can take Feat instead.
Whenever you reach a level in this class that grants the Ability Score Improvement feature, you can replace a fighting style you know with another fighting style available to Songweavers. This replacement represents a shift of focus in your martial practice.
Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Starting at 7th level, you’ve mastered your Songs so that they are more effective. You treat your Proficiency Bonus as one higher when calculating the effects of a Song of War.
For example, if your Proficiency Bonus is +3, Aggroblast would deal 4d6 damage instead of 3d6, and Protoheal would have 20 hit points in the pool instead of 15. However, Songs such as Mobilislick are unaffected since it does not rely on your Proficiency Bonus.
This Bonus increases to two higher at 14th level.
Starting at 9th level, you’ve become more resistant to the Dissonance you create when overextending yourself. The damage you take when overextending is reduced to 1d6 per stack instead of 1d8.
This damage is again reduced to 1d4 per stack at 15th level.
You’ve learned ways to harness multiple Songs of the same category, an incredibly rare ability very few Ardoni have ever attained. Choose two Song of War categories. You can attune to a second Song of those Categories. These Songs have their own number of uses, separate from the other Songs in the same category.
You become the ultimate Songweaver, able to wield them to their utmost potential. You can use the Songs of War an unlimited number of times per day, and you treat your Proficiency Bonus as three higher when calculating the effects of a Song of War.
